Multi-use Courts

Updates to the pool facility were completed last spring. The old tennis courts and fencing were removed and new regulation-sized courts were laid down. The new courts and nets once again make serious tennis an option at the Club! A ladder is under development to facilitate match set-up -- contact Robert Parrish for information.

After the courts were laid, a special coating was applied that, while not affecting tennis performance, protects the courts allowing use of rollerblades or basketball as well. The smppth new surface protects little feet from scuffs, as well! Plans are to reserve one court for tennis generally, with the other court open to the kids' activities.

New goals have been installed for half-court basketball, and the whole area has been re-enclosed in new fencing.
See more of the Club facilities in the Photo Gallery.

Tennis Ladder Now Available

For those interested in playing tennis, Cary Swim Club now has 3 singles tennis ladders - Adults, Boys/Girls Under 18, and Boys/Girls Under 12.  The idea is to join the ladder, ask someone on the ladder to play, play them and record the results

To Join:   Contact charles_parrish@ncsu.edu (or sign up at the pool).  Charlie will need your name, phone number, and email address. To ask someone to play,  either email them, call them or contact them at the pool.  It very easy to send an email to the entire group asking if someone can play (e.g., "can anyone play on sat at 3 pm?")

To play:   1) Play one 8-game set (first one to 8 games wins), then, 2) Report Results by filling out a slip of paper behind the counter at the pool (in the tennis folder), OR go to tennis engine.com and fill out the match report.

See you on the courts!
