Admission to Pool
- You must be a member of good standing (dues paid) to use the pool.
- Family memberships include children up to the age of 25.
- Children of adult members 25 years and older will be designated as non-members and the Guest policy (below) will apply to them.
- Children under 12 years old must always be under the supervision of a sitter or a relative 15 years of age or over (other than a member of the pool staff) when in the pool-except during swim lessons or swim team practice. If a child is under supervision by a sitter or relative, that person must sign in as such, and provide the name of the child(ren) begin supervised.
- Unless accompanied by a doctor's certificate, admission into the water will be refused (at the manager's discretion) to all persons having any skin disease, sores, inflamed eyes, colds, nasal or ear discharge, or any communicable disease. Persons with excessive sunburn, open sores or bandages will not be admitted.
- Proper swim attire is required.
All un-toilet trained children must wear rubber or plastic pants with elasticized waist and legs (even with disposable diapers). Children not properly attired will not be allowed to enter the baby pool or large pool area.
- The baby pool is for children under five years of age. The child's supervisor must be within the baby pool enclosed area.
- No dogs (except service animals), cats or other pets will be allowed in the pool enclosure.

Health and Safety
Your safety is our primary concern and therefore the staff has the authority to require your cooperation on all matters of safety.
- With the exception of the early morning adult lap swim, no person may use the pool unless it is officially open and the lifeguards are on duty. There is no lifeguard present for
the early morning adult lap swim and adults participating do so at their own risk.
- The manager and staff have the authority to clear the pool and/or deck in case of thunder or lightning. The pool will reopen no less than 15 minutes after the last thunder clap, at the discretion of the manager or head lifeguard.
- NO RUNNING IN THE POOL ENCLOSURE. Rough play and personal conduct endangering the safety of self and others on CSC property is prohibited. Spitting, spouting water, blowing the nose, etc. are not permitted in the pool.
- No jumping on top of another swimmer.
- No visiting or chatting with the lifeguards when they are on duty.
- NO GLASS CONTAINERS are permitted in the pool enclosure.
- SWIMMING AIDS
Masks and/or snorkels, soft nerf type balls (i.e. no tennis balls) and water games may be allowed in the pool at the discretion of the pool manager or head lifeguard, depending on the occupancy of the pool at the time.
- Floatation devices may be used on "float days", (Mondays and some holiday parties). They must be of reasonable single person size. NO OVERSIZED FLOATS will be allowed. Reasonable size will be defined by the pool manager or head lifeguard on duty.
- Children's swimming aids may be used in the shallow end of the pool. The child's supervisor must be within one arm's length of the child using a swimming aid.

Guests
- There is no charge for out of county guests.
- Wake County guests are charged $3 per person per day. The same Wake County guest may visit the pool no more than two times in any given calendar month.
- All guests must be accompanied by a member and signed in at the front desk.
- Baby Sitters: A non-member baby sitter card can be obtained for $25 by contacting the treasurer. Non-member babysitters must be 15 years of age or older.
- Special Events: Special events held during normal operating hours for up to 10 guests may be arranged by contacting the pool manager for scheduling assistance. The pool may
may be rented for after hours events, depending upon availability. Please contact the pool manager for more information including forms, rules, and fees and scheduling.
General Conduct and Policies
- Shower before entering the pool.
- Deposit all refuse and waste paper in trash cans. Clear and clean picnic tables after use.
- Only employees, board members and authorized personnel are allowed in the concession stand, office, filter room and store room.
- Failure to follow a direction given by a staff member, any improper conduct, rules violation and/or profanity is prohibited. Minors failing to follow the directions of a staff member will be subject to - first offense - 15 minute time out - second offense - at the discretion of the pool manager, additional time out or suspension from the pool for the remainder of the day. Adult violators may be required to leave the recreation area immediately and will be subject to board disciplinary action.
- No food, beverages or chairs shall be allowed with three feet of the edge of the pool.
- No GLASS Containers are allowed on the pool property.
- Any person damaging or removing pool property is in violation of the pool rules and subject to disciplinary action.
- CSC is not responsible for the loss or theft of any personal belongings.
- Adults have priority on lounge chairs. Any chair or chaise lounge that remains unoccupied for 30 minutes or more may be used by another individual.
- There is NO SMOKING inside the pool enclosure.
- NO ALCOHOL is to be consumed or is allowed on CSC property.
- No squirt guns allowed in the pool area or grounds.

Break Time Breaks will be from 10 minutes before until the hour, each hour. Adults (18 years or older) may swim during breaks. Children 18 months of age or younger are permitted in the pool during break, if accompanied by an adult. For instructional purposes, children under the age of 11 are allowed in the shallow area during breaks when accompanied by an adult on a one-on-one basis.
Diving Area
Only one person is allowed on the diving board at a time. Spring only once and dive off the end of the board only, then swim directly out of the diving area and exit by the ladder. Wait until the preceding diver has surfaced and has cleared the diving well. Diving area shall not be used for general swimming except when the area is closed to diving. Only lifeguards are allowed to adjust the diving board.
Lap Lane
The lap lane is for lap swimming only. Do not swim or dive across the lap lane.
Private Swim Lessons
All requests for private lessons must be made through the lessons coordinator. Fees for private lessons are payable to CSC and no employee or member is allowed to offer individual private lessons directly to the membership. Lessons will be held at non-peak times only.
All rules are subject to CSC STAFF INTERPRETATION to ensure the safety of all of our members.
